Chief Jablonsky
2010
Less than a week after the formal meeting, a group of local law enforcement officers from surrounding municipalities took a pause from serving warrants, patrolling the local streets and joined Brownsville Mayor Lester Ward, Jack Lawver and the Brownsville Borough Public Safety Commitee to officially recognize the transition of Stanley Jablonsky from interim Chief to his new position of Chief of Police. Mayor Ward and Mrs. Jablonsky pinned the two gold stars to the lapel of Chief Jablonsky's uniform while Councilman Charlie Perkins (Public Safety Chairman) presented a special plaque to mark the new tenure. Mr. Perkins thanked Chief Jablonsky for his years of dedication and patience with the borough council. Chief Jablonsky was joined by his wife, two daughters and grandchildren. He pledged to continue to keep the community safe and thanked everyone for the confidence in his leadership. Chief Jablonsky was presented with new business cards listing his new title from his fellow officers. Councilwomen Tracy Sheehan Zivkovich commended the new Chief’s commitment to Mayor Ward and the committee in ensuring the protection and safety of our community. Borough council collectively expressed high expectation in his leadership. Brownsville Borough has been without a chief of Police for over 8 years.
